Take one minute to run some energy through your body and through your entire being to get rid of or reduce that congested, gritty, lumpy, dirty feeling.
After eating some Easter chocolate during the past couple of days, my body was feeling a little “gritty” and “lumpy” this morning. It’s that congested feeling you can get after not eating well or eating too much, when you need to exercise or just move more, or when you’re sick with a cold.
Sometimes I feel that way after being in cluttered or very busy places or around negativity, stress or pain. You feel like you need to take a couple of showers to remove excess lumps of stuff that have accumulated in you and around you.
Taking a shower, exercising, dancing and going for a vigorous walk are some good ways to cleanse that stuff, that grittiness from your system. Another quick and easy tool for your healing toolbox is the Run Your Energy visualization.
While I was lying in bed this morning, I used the Run Your Energy technique that helps to clean your system from the “grit and lumps” and that supports a good flow of energy (which could be oxygen, blood, clear thinking, calm, chi, life obstacles, etc.—whatever good flow means for you).
- Visualize a vertical line—your axis mundi that connects you in all space—going to infinity above you and below you in the middle of your body. You can make it any colour you like or think of it as an electrical wire.
- Imagine gold balls of light (or energy or electricity) speeding down the vertical line into the top of your body for 15 to 30 seconds.
- Imagine gold balls of light speeding up the vertical line into the bottom of your body for 15 or 30 seconds.
Continue running that energy into your body until you feel “cleaner” and the energy is flowing smoothly without bumps. Most of the time, I find that this takes about one minute but, when I’m feeling particularly gritty, it can take a couple of minutes.
Alternatively, instead of just one vertical line, you can visualize three, especially if you want to run more energy into your arms and legs.
Try one line then three lines to see if you notice a difference. You could even try a grid of small lines, as many as you want.
Do what feels right for you at that moment. Adapt the technique so that it has the greatest impact for you. If you need to run the energy for five minutes, do it. If you want to use lightning bolts instead of balls of light, go for it. You can’t make mistakes.
