Easy Way to Stay Balanced during the Holidays

Holiday ChecklistPrepared the cookies and cakes. Check. Bought all the gifts and stocking stuffers. Check. Did a big cleanup in the house. Check. Mailed and emailed the cards and family updates. Check. Prepared my body and my being for the upcoming events, dinners and emotional moments. Ch… Wait, what??

We put so much time and effort into preparing for the holidays yet we forget to prepare our inner selves for the potential emotional moments, family disagreements, and feelings of loss and grief that often accompany the holidays.

Practice my Balance Your Frequencies technique a few days before and once or twice during the holidays to strengthen your inner resilience and to cleanse your being of the “stuff” you don’t need to carry. I find it easier to do the technique in bed when I am not distracted by daily activities so that I can give it the focus it needs for maximum impact.

How To Do Continual Threshold’s Balance Your Frequencies Technique

Make sure you are in a comfortable position, whether it’s sitting, lying or standing. Give yourself about five to seven minutes to do this technique.

You can have your eyes open or closed, whatever works best for you. I usually keep my eyes closed but will sometimes open them to get a better sense of a perfect “bubble” around my body.

Basically, you will be balancing each colour frequency from the light spectrum in your body and being by visualizing it as a perfect circle or bubble around your body.

Balance your red frequencyStart by visualizing a red bubble all around you. Silently say, Please balance all of my red frequencies. Focus on making that red bubble perfectly round or oval all around you, which may take a few seconds or a minute.

You will discover your own way of knowing when you are done with one frequency and can move on to the next. I know when I am done by listening to the sound. If I still hear a bit of static, I know I need to continue to focus on that coloured bubble. Once all is quiet (when that frequency has reached its Line of Calm), I know I am done and can move on to the next colour.

After the red frequency, proceed in the order of the light spectrum:

Visualize an orange bubble all around you. Silently say, Please balance all of my orange frequencies.Focus on making that orange bubble perfectly round or oval all around you.

Visualize a yellow bubble all around you. Silently say, Please balance all of my yellow frequencies.Focus on making that yellow bubble perfectly round or oval all around you.

Visualize a green bubble all around you. Silently say, Please balance all of my green frequencies.Focus on making that green bubble perfectly round or oval all around you.

Visualize a blue bubble all around you. Silently say,Please balance all of my blue frequencies.Focus on making that blue bubble perfectly round or oval all around you.

Visualize a purple bubble all around you. Silently say,Please balance all of my purple frequencies. Focus on making that purple bubble perfectly round or oval all around you.

Visualize a violet bubble all around you. Silently say, Please balance all of my violet frequencies. Focus on making that violet bubble perfectly round or oval all around you.

Finally, visualize a white bubble all around you. Silently say, “Please balance all of my frequencies.” Focus on making that white bubble perfectly round or oval all around you.

Once you have practiced this technique a few times, you will be able to do a quick balancing of your frequencies during the day if you need it by quickly visualizing the coloured bubbles one after the other.
